Maserati Factory Tour

A journey into a new era

An inside look at the Maserati world

An inside look at the Maserati world

Innovation, passion and uniqueness guide the Brand in this phase of total renewal.

The starting-point for this journey is the historic plant on Viale Ciro Menotti in Modena. The Modena plant, where the Trident has had its home for over 80 years, is a magical location that combines the Brand’s “made in Italy” DNA and its Heritage with an irrepressible drive towards the future and innovation: the plant has been modernised with new production, engine assembly and painting facilities specifically for the new MC20.

Lasting about an hour, the exclusive factory tour includes a welcome reception and historical introduction in the recently renovated showrooms prior to a guided walk around the powertrain department. Afterwards there is the opportunity to view the cars and browse through the Maserati store1.

Maserati Engine Lab and Paintshop

The Maserati site in Modena, modernised to house production of the MC20, now boasts a new engine hub, the Maserati Engine Lab, and a completely new Paintshop.

Nettuno, the ground-breaking and 6 cylinder twin turbo engine of the MC20, is the first child of the Maserati Engine Lab, established within the Viale Ciro Menotti plant in Modena. The Maserati Engine Lab consists of five separate areas: assembly shop; testing room; the workshop where the engine is mounted in the car; emission roller beds and production.

The new Paintshop is equipped with innovative, environment-friendly technologies. The process involves painting of the body together with all its plastic components to ensure perfect colour matching, and adopts paints and process parameters controlled specifically for every application, to ensure the highest quality of the painted product.
