Maserati has made its debut as Official Partner of the 2018 Longines Masters of Hong Kong which took place on 9-11 February, 2018 at AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong.

On its sixth sensational year, the Longines Masters of Hong Kong has brought spectacular sight of elegance and sportsmanship unique to show jumping, alongside a carefully curated entertainment and lifestyle experience to enthusiasts in Asia World-Expo, Hong Kong.

With the memorable conclusion of the Longines Masters of Paris Season III, the intercontinental Longines Masters Series Paris - Hong Kong - New York has entered its halfway point of the season as it travelled to Hong Kong, before the finale to be held in New York in April 26-29, 2018.

Maserati was proud to be part of this prestigious event in 2018 and to take center stage in the Main Arena and the Prestige Village as Official Partner as well as Presenting Partner of the Maserati Masters Power competition.

At Asia World Expo, Maserati was present in various areas with a VIP Suite in the exclusive Masters Club, a vehicle display and a personalization corner in the Prestige Village where guests had a chance to view the Levante S in GranSport trim as well as experiencing various personalization options and the craftsmanship that defines every Maserati model.

On Saturday 10th February, the Six Bar Competition, the Maserati Masters Power, presented by Official Partner Maserati, made its debut at the Hong Kong event, where competing riders showcased power and agility in a competition of high jumping which defies gravity. This new knock-out contest requires riders to each make their way through a line of six obstacles, the last of which, as long as no rider knocks the bar off, is continually raised. The audience was holding its breath until Michael Whitaker of Great Britain with Valentin R finally came away victorious of this power competition with a jump of 1.90m. Valentin R “really jumped it well today; he was really up for it,” says Whitaker who then did his lap of honour in the main arena in the Maserati GranCabrio.

Amaury La Fonta, General Manager Maserati South East Asia Pacific, commented “Maserati has been involved in the world of equestrian sports for many years as we share attributes of great relevance; as in performance, elegance, agility and this singular connection between the rider and their horse, like a driver and their Maserati. Therefore we are very proud to be associated with the Longines Masters, one of the most prestigious and spectacular sporting events in Hong Kong that combines sport and lifestyle where the audience shows great affinity towards our brand. We congratulate Michael Whitaker on his great achievement in winning the Maserati Masters Power. We’re also looking forward to coming back next year with our exclusive model line up.”

Mr. Christophe Ameeuw, CEO of EEM, Founder of the Longines Masters Series Paris – Hong Kong – New York, commented, “This year, we were proud to present three days of  stunning competition, events and emotion, where the best of lifestyle had rub shoulders with the top in sports. I was particularly honoured to welcome in as new Official Partner of the Longines Masters of Hong Kong a brand as prestigious as Maserati, which embodies excellence and performance, values common to equestrian sports and to the Longines Masters Series. This partnership marks yet another step in the radiation of the Longines Masters of Hong Kong and more largely of equestrian sports in front of a demanding public.”
