Gary Usher

Usher, 37, is about to open his sixth restaurant — all of them financed through crowdfunding. In a world where restaurants are battling rising costs, Usher has become a powerhouse behind some of the best eateries in northwest England — Sticky Walnut in Hoole, near Chester, and Hispi in Didsbury, Greater Manchester, both appeared in Restaurant magazine’s Top 100 places to eat in the UK last year.
