THE ROARING power of NETTUNO

The Grecale’s V6 3000-cc twin turbo engine is an engineering marvel based on pre-chamber architecture able to deliver outstanding power or improved efficiency, depending on your driving desires.

Two systems in one engine

At the soul of the Nettuno engine is the innovative pre-chamber combustion system featuring twin spark plugs that debuted in the MC20 super sports car. When you pair this with a conventional combustion system you get faster, more uniform and efficient combustion, which makes for augmented performance and lesser fuel consumption, or a combination of the two.

PERFORMING yet EFFICIENT

The Grecale combines a 4-cylinder internal combustion engine with a 48V mild hybrid system. But it’s not only about reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The innovative e-booster, that backs up the conventional turbocharger keeps performance always at adrenaline level.

The 48V Belt Starter Generator supports the combustion engine when more power is needed, regaining energy during braking and deceleration, in turn charging the battery which then powers the eBooster.

An energy boost for a faster start and more exciting ride. The eBooster works in tandem with the conventional turbocharger, sustaining the engine’s power output even at low rpm. Together with the BSG, it also elevates performance when you are at peak rpm in Sport mode.

Every detail makes the all-new Grecale agile and fun to drive every day. The DC Converter and the 48V battery are positioned in the rear for optimal weight distribution.

ENGINEERED to ASTOUND

Exceptional driving, every day, anytime. Lightweight construction, combined with high-performing engines makes for a pulse-quickening ride. The prop shaft made in carbon fibre and the extensive use of materials like aluminium contribute to a top-class power to weight ratio, acceleration, and speed.

Vehicle Dynamic Control Module (VDCM)

Vehicle Dynamic Control Module (VDCM): it sounds complex, but it makes your driving even more exciting and safer. This hi-tech solution controls vertical, lateral and longitudinal dynamics to maximise traction and performance, adjusting to the road and your driving style.

Air suspensions

From road-hugging to off-road riding. The air suspensions, standard on the Trofeo and optional for other versions, can be calibrated through six levels according to your drive mode and needs. When the car is in PARKING mode, the changed height makes it easier to get in and get out.

ELSD

Fun to drive in every situation. All Grecale versions are equipped with the Maserati all-wheel drive system. In addition, for the intense Trofeo version, the Electric Limited Slip Differential works in synergy with the AWD in delivering the best stability and handling.

ZF eight-speed gearbox

The power of the all-new Grecale at your fingertips. The ZF eight-speed gearbox GEN2 is a technological masterpiece that combines dynamics and comfort (or fluid shifting and immediate response) with improved efficiency. And with the Advanced Start & Stop you are ready to move away in just 350 milliseconds making additional fuel savings possible.

INTUITIVE, INTELLIGENT and in CONTROL

Enjoy the luxury of being in control, anytime and anywhere you desire through your smartphone, smartwatch or virtual assistant. Maserati Connect: a seamless, smart and digital everyday experience in and around your Grecale.

What’s your mood today? What are you up to? From COMFORT to GT, from SPORT to OFF-ROAD: just select your drive mode and go. If you own a Trofeo and you are looking for maximum performance, select CORSA mode with Launch Control: unforgettable!

If you feel like not following the beaten path, this driving mode improves all-terrain performance and control. Efficiency is reduced compared to COMFORT and GT modes, gear changes are gradual the rev limiter is activated and ride height is set to “High”, +30mm over COMFORT. Available only with Air Suspensions.

For your daily city drive. Engine boost and kickdown are limited, efficiency is improved. The suspension rigidity is reduced, and the electric power steering gives effortless driving pleasure.

On the open road you might want a more agile acceleration without compromising efficiency. Kickdown and pedal sensitivity are moderate, shifting is smooth and gradual.

Intense. Maximum engine boost, always open exhaust valves, pedal sensitivity and gear change are set to peak performance. The driving position is lower by 15 mm in “Aero mode” and the steering wheel is more rigid and responsive.

For Trofeo owners only. If you’re up to an extreme experience, select the CORSA mode: gear change is faster than ever, pedals are highly responsive. The Launch Control electronic aid will assist in unleashing the immense power from a standing start.
