From October 16 to 18, the Trident will participate in the prestigious concours d’elegance with the iconic MC12 and a special GT2 Stradale created through the Maserati Fuoriserie program: a special model that draws on the colors and symbols of the MC12’s extraordinary racing heritage, transforming the Brand’s heritage into a contemporary and personal statement.
Modena, October 14, 2026 – Maserati participates in the fourth edition of Villa La Massa Excellence 2026, the prestigious concours d’elegance taking place from October 16 to 18 at the historic estate overlooking the Arno River, just outside Florence. The exclusive event evokes the original spirit of the grand concours d’elegance, showcasing four-wheeled masterpieces immersed in an atmosphere of refinement and automotive passion. The setting is particularly suited to the world of the Trident, with two vehicles belonging to different eras coming together in celebration of a shared racing spirit: on the one hand, the legendary MC12, a symbol of one of the most glorious racing eras in the Brand’s recent history; on the other, a Maserati GT2 Stradale Fuoriserie specially built for a collector and inspired by the race car. This bespoke creation draws on the technology and track-proven credentials of the Maserati GT2, which brought the Brand back to competing and winning in closed-wheel championships.
A product of the Maserati Fuoriserie program, the special Maserati GT2 Stradale super sports car on display at the event features a captivating metallic Blu Victory livery, a Fuoriserie finish designed to celebrate the titles won by the MC12 in the World GT1 Championship. Furthermore, a large Bianco Pastello Trident adorns the matte-carbon roof, a color also featured on the Maserati lettering on the rear wing. The motorsport references continue with the Bianco Pastello number plate, featuring the Italian flag, the word Italy, and the number 33 in red, as well as the black anodized center-lock wheels paired with Bianco Pastello emblems. The same race-inspired look carries over into the cabin, with blue Alcantara, Tridents with black stitching on the headrests, and additional upholstery in black Alcantara with blue stitching.Â
A significant chapter in Trident’s motorsport history inspired this configuration. In 2004, the MC12 marked Maserati’s return to international GT racing after 37 years of absence, inaugurating an extraordinary era of success. Between 2004 and 2010, the MC12 achieved 22 victories and 14 titles, including two Constructors’ Cups, five Drivers’ Championships, and six Team Championships. These achievements were complemented by three wins, in 2005, 2006, and 2008, and two second-place finishes, in 2007 and 2009, at the 24 Hours of Spa—a record at the classic Belgian race. Behind the wheel of the MC12, Andrea Bertolini—Maserati Reference Driver & Racing Advisor—was one of the stars of this era, winning the 2010 FIA GT1 World Championship title. And it was Bertolini himself who, at the passionate customer's request, personally signed the engine bay of this special GT2 Stradale.
This extraordinary motorsport legacy comes to life at Villa La Massa with the Maserati GT2 Stradale Fuoriserie reinterpreted by Fuoriserie, the customization program dedicated to creating cars tailored to each customer’s requests. Each project begins with a dialogue with the Maserati creative team as part of a co-creation process that allows customers to personalize the bodywork, interior, finishes, and equipment, resulting in configurations that reflect the owner’s personality and desires. Maserati Fuoriserie is an integral part of BOTTEGAFUORISERIE, an exclusive project where tradition, innovation, and craftsmanship find their purest expression.
The Fuoriserie customization highlights a connection to motorsport that is part of the model’s very DNA. The GT2 Stradale is the road-going version of the Maserati GT2, the race car that brought the Trident back to competing and winning in closed-wheel championships. Produced at the historic Viale Ciro Menotti plant in Modena, the GT2 Stradale brings the know-how gained through motorsport to the road, combining extreme performance and elegance. The 640-hp Nettuno V6 allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and exceed 320 km/h; its reduced weight, track-developed aerodynamics, and motorsport-derived technical solutions make it the most performance-focused, road-going Maserati ever produced, without compromising the Brand’s distinctive elegance.
These Trident models are two chapters within a single story, united by a culture of performance and the ability to transform motorsport experience into cars destined to make their mark. This connection will come to life in the Villa La Massa Excellence program. On Saturday, October 17, the vehicles will star in the Car Show and Contest, with the parade in the Villa’s gardens followed by the award ceremonies; meanwhile, on Sunday, October 18, the Maserati GT2 Stradale will take part in the Mugello Track Experience, reaching the Mugello Circuit for the closing parade. It will be a fitting finale for the Maserati super sports car that, after the concours d’elegance, will return to the place where it belongs: the track.
