The Inaugural Maserati Haute Route Norway

The inaugural Maserati Haute Route Norway took place on Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th of August 2018 in the Stavanger region. Loyal to the new 3-day concept, the Maserati Haute Route Norway was based in one unique location and featured two classic road stages and an uphill time trial.
The Stavanger region offers an exceptional setting for this brand new Scandinavian adventure; a city nestled between the most beautiful Norwegian fjords, a deep rooted cycling culture, perfect roads and stunning climbs.
You discover some of the most beautiful and challenging terrain in the world where roads with majestic switch-back climbs in amongst the Norwegian fjords – already an area of world class tourism. For certain stages you take a ferry across the Fjord to reach the start line, the perfect opportunity to enjoy the surroundings.
Highlights of the first two stages included views on the Pulpit Rock, Lysefjord bridge and Kjerag Rock. The climb to Lysheiane at the start of second stage is particularly memorable with its 20 hairpin bends and 8% average gradient. The time trial on the final day rewards riders with a jaw-dropping view over the ocean, mountains and fjords from the top of Ullandhaug before a short descent and final steep climb to the finish near Ullandhaugtårnet.
