Course: Table Bay, Cape Town (South Africa) - Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), distance 3600 nautical miles. The current record was set by Giovanni Soldini aboard VOR70 Maserati in 2014: 10 days, 11 hours, 29 minutes and 57 seconds. The race was run for the first time in 1971. Over the years, the race always started from Cape Town, but the finish line wasn’t always in Rio de Janeiro. For three editions the course arrived in Punta del
