Ghibli refreshed

More power, new technology and refreshed styling are the hallmarks of the new 2018 model year Ghibli that is due to start arriving in Australian and New Zealand showrooms early next year.

After four years of unparalleled success in markets around the world, the new model is set to further the appeal of this stylish, sports sedan with a range of upgrades to improve performance, safety, comfort and driving enjoyment.

With its design already having achieved accolades across the globe, Maserati chose to keep styling changes to a minimum. The new front and rear bumpers reflect the signature style of the Quattroporte and Levante SUV while also deliver improved aerodynamics for greater efficiency.

The new Ghibli also adopts the same trim level designation as its siblings with GranLusso models featuring a luxurious interior finish and Zegna silk upholstery while the interior finish and detailing of the GranSport models deliver a more dynamic and aesthetic.

Dynamics and performance have received attention too with the Ferrari-built twin-turbo V6 fitted to Ghibli S models gaining a further 15kW of power and 30Nm of torque to generate peak outputs of 320kW and 580Nm that is good for a top speed of 286km/h and 0-100km/h sprint of just 4.7 seconds.

Further improving Maserati’s renowned driving characteristics, all models in the Ghibli range now also benefit from the adoption of Electric Power Steering for more precise control and Integrated Vehicle Control to deliver enhanced driving dynamics.

Safety too has been further improved with the availability of new Advanced Driving Assistance Systems including Lane Keeping Assist and Active Blind Spot Assist while the standard fitment of adaptive LED headlights aids nighttime driving.

Refreshed, upgraded and updated, perhaps its time to have another look at the new Ghibli.
