Season 11

The Trident is electrifying the track for a third consecutive season in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. As the sole Italian Luxury manufacturer competing in this cutting-edge electric racing series, Maserati continues to push the boundaries of performance, starting from Motor Valley and charging around the world.

A thrilling spectacle of speed and skill are unfolding in Season 11, with 16 Rounds spread across 10 dynamic global locations. From the vibrant cityscapes of Tokyo, where the Trident claimed victory last season, to the electric atmosphere of Miami, and new additions like Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, this season is delivering an exhilarating and electrifying world tour.

Breakthroughs also ensue in the season that also marks the introduction of the GEN3 Evo race car.

Building on the groundbreaking technology of the GEN3, the Evo represents a significant step forward in electric motorsport performance, the fastest full-electric challenger to date. Maserati MSG Racing is ready to harness the amped power of the GEN3 Evo to race forward faster than ever.

SEASON 9: A HISTORIC RETURN

Season 9 marked Maserati's triumphant return to single-seater motorsport after a six-decade absence. Partnering with MSG Racing, the team embraced the challenge of Formula E's GEN3 era, showcasing the iconic Trident on the world stage of electric racing–the first from Motor Valley to do so. At the wheel of the Trident’s first-ever full-electric racer, the Maserati Tipo Folgore, were drivers Edoardo Mortara and Maximilian Günther. A historic victory in Jakarta, the first for Maserati in single-seater competition since Juan Manuel Fangio in 1957, solidified the team's position as a force to be reckoned with. Three podium finishes further underscored Maserati MSG Racing's potential, setting the stage for even greater achievements in the seasons to come.

SEASON 10: BUILDING MOMENTUM

Season 10 saw Maserati MSG Racing continue its development in the highly competitive world of Formula E. Maximilian Günther added another victory to his tally, conquering the inaugural Tokyo E-Prix and further solidifying his place in Maserati motorsport history. He consistently demonstrated strong qualifying pace, showcasing the team's potential. Teammate Jehan Daruvala, in his rookie season for the S10 grid, embraced the challenge, showing impressive growth throughout the season and battling for points. While both drivers embarked on new paths following the season, their contributions to the team's progress were significant, setting the stage for a new chapter in Maserati MSG Racing's Formula E journey, leading up to the unveiling of the next generation.

What is Maserati's Formula E racing car?

Maserati's Formula E car is the Maserati Tipo Folgore. This electric single-seater features the GEN3 Evo package, the fastest and most efficient car ever to participate in the championship. The Tipo Folgore represents a significant evolution in terms of efficiency and performance, with acceleration from 0 to 100 kph in 1.86 seconds (0-60 mph in 1.82 seconds), energy regeneration capacity of 600 kW and maximum speed of 322 km/h (200 mph). Designed with cutting-edge technology, it features a maximum battery power of 350 kW, with modes optimized for both racing and boost.

Who drives for Maserati in Formula E?

For the 2024/25 Formula E season, Maserati MSG Racing will be represented by Stoffel Vandoorne and Jake Hughes. Stoffel, a former World Champion, is entering his seventh year in the series, bringing extensive experience and success. Jake, a rising talent, is set for his third season. Season 11 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship features 16 races in 10 global locations. The season starts in São Paulo on December 7, 2024, and includes stops in cities like Mexico City, Jeddah, Miami, Monaco, Berlin, Tokyo, Jakarta and Shanghai. The season will conclude with a double-header in London on July 26 and 27, 2025.

Is Maserati the only Italian luxury automotive manufacturer in full-electric Formula E?

Yes, the Trident returned to single-seater elite motorsport when it debuted in Season 9 (2022/2023) of Formula E with the GEN3 Maserati Tipo Folgore, the Modena-based manufacturer’s first-ever full-electric racer.
