CELEBRATING THE TRIDENT’S HOMECOMING
Modena, November 11, 2025 – A week of extraordinary celebrations for the Trident brand and the city of Modena has just come to a close. From November 5 to 9, a rich program of events marked the return of Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio production, in all their versions, to the historic Viale Ciro Menotti plant.
The week opened with an exclusive soirée at the Teatro Comunale Modena Pavarotti-Freni, where the “Maserati Meccanica Lirica” concept came to life through an immersive experience blending art, music, and engineering. In collaboration with Sonus faber, the initiative’s Main Partner, the curtain rose on a unique performance where the story of Turandot intertwined with that of the Trident, transforming every corner of the theater into an integral part of the narrative. The Modena Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by maestro Hirofumi Yoshida, performed the most celebrated arias from Puccini’s opera, reaching its climax with “Nessun dorma”. At the words “Il suo nome è Amore”, the Maserati GranTurismo Meccanica Lirica One-Off was unveiled.
The scene shifted once more thanks to the music of composer Dardust, who reimagined Italian operatic heritage through a contemporary lens, blending classical and electronic influences. Amid this moving and enchanting atmosphere, the new video campaign dedicated to the GranTurismo and GranCabrio—filmed entirely in Modena and its surroundings—was unveiled: a visual story celebrating the deep bond between the city, music, and the unmistakable sound of the Trident’s cars. The evening concluded with an exclusive dinner in the theater’s foyer, with a menu created by Michelin-starred chef Massimo Bottura—an ambassador of Modenese excellence and a culinary artist who, like Maserati, combines tradition, innovation, and meticulous attention to detail.
The following day, attention turned to Maserati’s Modena plant, where a symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new GranTurismo and GranCabrio assembly line was held, attended by local institutions, the international media, and top Maserati management. Guests were invited to discover the plant’s new features and witness the unveiling of the Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio Meccanica Lirica One-Off models—presented directly by the very artisans and engineers who created them. In the afternoon, the visit continued at the Collezione Maserati Umberto Panini, where the brand paid tribute to its history and its rich technical and cultural heritage.
Over the weekend, Maserati opened its doors to 100 customers from all over Europe and Maserati Italia Club members for the Trident Experience, a two-day event dedicated to passion and excellence.
On Saturday, November 8, Piazza Roma, in the heart of the city, showcased a selection of 50 of the Brand’s cars – among which a 1959 Maserati GT Spyder 3500 stood out as the oldest car present –, while guests had the opportunity to attend the Orchestra of Modena’s rehearsals at the Teatro Comunale. Later, at the Maserati plant, an exclusive performance was held by Roberto Bolle—Étoile of Milan’s Teatro alla Scala and friend of the Brand—who mesmerized the audience with a piece inspired by the “Waves” choreography, previously staged at the Teatro degli Arcimboldi. The evening concluded with an exclusive dinner crafted by Massimo Bottura and a sound experience by composer Dardust.
On Sunday, November 9, Modena transformed into an open-air museum as a parade of 60 historic and contemporary Maserati cars made its way across the city to the Panini Museum. The vintage cars parade was led by two Ghiblis from the 1990s, a Sebring and an Indy, while among the contemporary cars, the exclusive MC20 Maserati stood out for the Trident brand: the unique model was created thanks to the Fuoriserie customisation programme for the grandchildren of Ettore Maserati, who founded the Italian brand in 1914 together with his brothers Alfieri and Ernesto.
After the Panini Museum step, the parade concluded at the Modena Autodromo. There, customers experienced the thrill of the track with test drives and hot laps aboard the Trident’s super sports cars, including the GT2 Stradale and GranTurismo, equipped with a new exhaust system designed to enhance its sound.
Simultaneously, Modena paid tribute to the Brand with a striking urban takeover that transformed iconic locations such as the Albinelli Market, the Portico del Collegio San Carlo, and streets of the city center, which were adorned with installations, panels, and projections dedicated to Maserati. In doing so, Modena reaffirmed its connection with Maserati, adopting the slogan “Modena, Città di Maserati” and showcasing special cars across town in a yellow and blue livery—the city’s colors—featuring details inspired by the musical staff and the Trident symbol.
In short, “Maserati Meccanica Lirica” was not merely a series of celebratory events, but an expression of identity and a tangible testament to the company’s commitment to continue investing in this region—promoting excellence, know-how, and creativity. Here, where mechanics has its melody and music its own character, Maserati has rediscovered the authentic voice of the Trident—one that continues to resonate around the world with the unmistakable sound of Italian style and luxury.
