THE BEGINNING OF A DREAM
When Alfieri Maserati was only 27 years old, he wanted to establish his own business. He dreamt of establishing a company in which he could work together with his brothers. It was Tuesday, 1 December 1914 when Alfieri, Ettore and Ernesto Maserati opened their garage with a workshop annex in Via de’ Pepoli 1, Bologna.

TIPO 6 CM: THE RECORD RACE CAR
On May 1939 Luigi “Gigi” Villoresi impressive won the Targa Florio at the wheel of the Maserati Tipo 6CM. The Maserati Tipo 6CM, an amazing single-seater racer, was designed by Ernesto Maserati and this incredible race car holds the record for the most edition wins at the Targa Florio.

THREE BROTHERS REMEMBERED
The legacy of Alfieri, Ettore and Ernesto Maserati lives on in every vehicle we make. The three-pointed trident logo, designed by artist Mario Maserati, symbolises the three visionary brothers. Blue and red are the colours of their home city of Bologna.
