The collaboration between Maserati, the Italian luxury automotive manufacturer which has celebrated in the just ended 2014 its Centennial and La Martina, the Argentinian brand, leader in polo clothing, continues.
During the 87th edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo, the two brands will host ‘Riding Pitti’, an exclusive launch event of their FW2015/16 capsule collection, which will take place on 13 January at 15.00 (Fortezza Da Basso, Padiglione della Ghiaia/23, stand 6). Celebrations will continue in the evening with a cocktail event, where the best polo player of the Maserati Centennial Polo Tour, which recently concluded in Dubai, will receive the Maserati Centennial Award. The Maserati Centennial Polo Tour Celebration Party will take place on 13 January from 19.30 (Loft E, Piazza del Carmine, 2r – Firenze).

The "Polo-Duvet La Martina for Maserati", is an innovative garment for the winter months, which echoes the iconic polo shirt.
La Martina for Maserati FW 2015/16 capsule collection makes its debut at Pitti Immagine Uomo with the launch of an exclusively designed item for the House of the Trident: the winter polo shirt.
The “Polo-Duvet La Martina for Maserati” features an innovative material called “cashmere insulate”: soft cashmere replaces conventional padding, goose feathers and polyester. This soft duvet is as comfortable as it is light. Despite its amazing lightness (100g), it provides better thermal insulation, with reduced volume, therefore providing a more snug fit.
Like goose feathers and polyester, cashmere fibres feature air hollows for better thermal insulation, since air is the best insulating material. This natural and precious stuffing is eco-friendly. It is also entirely Made in Italy, just like the cars of the Trident marque.
The “Polo-Duvet La Martina for Maserati” features exclusive branding details and tone on tone stitching. On the one hand, carbon fibre buttons lend a technological appeal, on the other hand, microfibre side trims result in a garment which is both comfortable and fitted.
From polo fields to city centres, it is suitable for mid-season and will appeal to sportsmen during the winter season. For this reason the “Polo-Duvet La Martina for Maserati” features detachable sleeves, thanks to a hidden zip in the armhole. With short sleeves, the Polo-Duvet echoes the summer version, with long sleeves, it is ideal for outdoor activities.
La Martina style is inspired by the polo field which stands for an authentic trend. Such a versatile garment could not be missing from the winter collection. The Polo-Duvet is designed specifically for warming up during winter polo tournaments. It strikes a balance between the traditional polo shirt (too thin despite its thermal protection) and a windbreaker jacket (which would be too bulky). Polo players would wear it over a turtle neck and polo shirt and remove it just before starting the match.
