Can I hire any type of vehicle? 

With Maserati long-term hire, you are free to choose any model – SUV, saloon or sports car – and trim level, according to your needs and preferences. The vehicle management service package can also be customised.  

Is renting a car cheaper than owning one?  

A long-term rental is an alternative form of mobility that frees you from all the worries of running your own vehicle. For a fixed fee, you get all the services you need at special rates enjoying the advantages offered by a major long-term rental expert.

Can I drive the hire car abroad?

You can drive the vehicle in all countries listed on the Green Card. The Delivery Note is also valid as a Leasys authorisation for circulation abroad.

Who can drive a long-term rental car?

You may, under your own responsibility, allow other members of your household to drive the car. In all cases, as the rental agreement signatory you are and remain liable to LEASYS directly. The rental agreement signatory will ensure that the driver of the long-term rental car has the requirements of the current regulations in force and will authorise the person in writing.

Are the miles driven on the pre-assigned vehicle counted towards the total miles of the long-term rental agreement? 

No, the miles driven on the pre-assignment vehicle are not added to the total miles driven with the long-term rental vehicle. 

Can I install an accessory I purchased on the rental car?

To check feasibility, please send a specific request for assembly authorisation by calling Leasys Customer Service on the toll-free number 800 334422. If the request is accepted, Leasys will tell you the procedure to be followed. The costs for installing and removing the accessory will be charged to you.

Can I drive a long-term rental car outside Italy? 

You can drive the vehicle in all countries listed on the Green Card. The Delivery Note is also valid as a Leasys authorisation for circulation abroad.

How can I find the nearest approved workshop in case of need?

To find the most convenient service point, consult the list of Leasys service centres on leasys.com or in the dedicated section of Leasys Umove, under “Find”.

What work is not included in the mechanical maintenance service guaranteed by Leasys? 

The following operations are not included:

  • Washing the interior and exterior of the vehicle (Leasys is responsible for this only for stolen vehicles before returning them and when explicitly provided for in the agreement).

  • Additive liquids that are not expressly recommended by the manufacturer.

  • Maintenance of all optional extras not included in the order or not authorised by Leasys.

Where can I go for the mandatory roadworthiness tests on my Maserati long-term rental car? 

The roadworthiness tests (four years after the first registration date of the vehicle) can be carried out at Leasys-approved workshops.
The preparatory costs (i.e. repair of malfunctions that would jeopardise the safety of the vehicle following the Highway Code and prevent the successful outcome of the roadworthiness test) and roadworthiness test costs shall be charged to Leasys.
However, penalties resulting from failure to submit the vehicle to the roadworthiness test will be charged to you.

Who should I call if the hands-free kit, satellite navigation system or any additional accessory included in the vehicle order stops working? 

If the accessory is included in the order, you can take the vehicle directly to a Leasys-approved workshop.

Who should I call if I need to top up the oil on my long-term rental car?  

You can take the vehicle directly to a Leasys-approved workshop. The cost of the top-up will be charged to Leasys.

What should I do if my long-term rental car needs assistance or breaks down? 

Call Leasys Roadside Assistance on the toll-free number 800 334422 or using the Leasys Umove app, “Roadside Assistance” section.
The service will tow the vehicle and take it to the authorised workshop in our network closest to where the breakdown occurred.
The Roadside Assistance service will also provide a replacement vehicle and help you return home or to continue your journey if this is stated in the Rental Request.

What can I do in the event of a puncture if I cannot change the spare tyre myself? 

Call Leasys Roadside Assistance at the toll-free number 800 334422 - option 1 - (or via Leasys Umove in the “Roadside Assistance” section) and indicate precisely where the vehicle has stopped. The breakdown service will tow the vehicle to the nearest authorised tyre dealer.
