Extending from Modena to Turin and Arese (Milan province), this newly established initiative brings together the wealth of legacies and forward-looking visions of Alfa Romeo and Maserati, two of the most iconic names in Italian automotive history. The leadership of this major new project has been entrusted to Cristiano Fiorio, reporting directly to Santo Ficili, Alfa Romeo CEO and Maserati COO.
BOTTEGAFUORISERIE stands at the intersection of tradition and innovation, where passion, craftsmanship, technology and meticulous attention to detail are not just values, they are a way of life.
Conceived as a creative hub, it brings together the excellence of Alfa Romeo and Maserati to shape the future of bespoke automotive experiences.
More than a project or a place, BOTTEGAFUORISERIE embodies a vision: the cradle of Italian manufacturing excellence, where the art of ingenuity, artisanal mastery and passion for beauty and performance merge into a single creative gesture, transforming into experience. Under its aegis, the most iconic automotive interpretations of our country take shape: timeless Fuoriserie custom-built cars, restorations of vintage models, sensory journeys, material research, and a centre dedicated to the research and development of the utmost performance.
BOTTEGAFUORISERIE was established under the patronage of the Altagamma Foundation. Drawing on the unique DNA of both Brands, the initiative will focus on main thematic areas such as BOTTEGA, FUORISERIE, Corse and La Storia (History as vision).
BOTTEGA turns ideas into exceptional ‘few-off’s
BOTTEGA is the place where Alfa Romeo and Maserati custom-built cars are created, designed, developed and built, with engineering excellence that brings together the best designers, technicians and engineers in the industry. Everything is thought through, crafted and built in Italy.
Dedicated exclusively to ‘few-off’ limited edition projects, from the breathtaking Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale to the supreme Maserati MCXtrema, this programme represents the sartorial heart of BOTTEGAFUORISERIE and will become the cradle of high-emotion vehicles that push the boundaries.
The broader Motor Valley, encompassing Piedmont, Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna, serves as the home of the Bottega, where ideas come about and evolve into a fully-fledged ‘Bottega” project. Every detail is worked on in close synergy with the customer, transforming each car into a truly unique piece.
Fuoriserie offers advanced personalisation
The ultimate personalisation programme provides every customer with the opportunity to turn their car into a unique model, an expression of their own personality.
A dedicated design team will explore new creative vernaculars while remaining faithful to the brands’ aesthetic codices. These include concept development, advanced design studies and the integration of design innovation that transform mass-production cars into bespoke automobiles. At the same time, quality processes will be taken to the next level, ensuring that every car has the potential to be one of-a-kind, enabling customers to express their individual identity at any dealership worldwide through custom designs options.
History – as a vision - preserves, restores and celebrates our heritage
Respecting a legacy that continues to inspire, BOTTEGAFUORISERIE preserves the historical heritage of both brands by restoring and certifying vintage cars and creating archives and museums to make an extraordinary and iconic legacy tangible.
Every project launched under the 'La Storia’ programme is a dialogue between eras. Iconic models are brought back to life with contemporary interpretations, sustainable technologies and bespoke details, without ever revealing their original essence. It is a creative process where time melds into one, breathing life into a unique work that preserves the spirit of the original model and enhances its expressive power in a new timeframe.
History also continues to the present day with the ‘Experience Centres’, part of the new initiative. At the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese (Milan province), visitors can explore the roots of the brand’s identity, somewhere where past, present and future come together to inspire new ideas. The Umberto Panini Maserati Collection in Modena brings together over a century of creations; this collection has recently been reopened to celebrate and share such a legacy with the whole world. Through Officine Classiche, BOTTEGAFUORISERIE will safeguard and celebrate the heritage of both brands. Its activities will include restoration, certification and the revival of historic models, to ensure that the legacies of Alfa Romeo and Maserati continue to inspire generations to come.
Corse transforms racing know-how into innovation
Motorsport is the epicentre of the work at BOTTEGAFUORISERE; in the racing world, its performance-devoted spirit transforms into engineering.
Every track race and every solution based on racing know-how drives the cars’ evolution. Bringing together cutting-edge technology and Italian engineering excellence, the new initiative fosters innovation in the sector of super sports cars.
The designs will be developed in close collaboration with the manufacturing supply chain in Italy, by leveraging local expertise and artisan mastery, to develop new powertrain solutions from aerodynamics to chassis design.
Maserati Corse is taking this legacy to the world stage, as an extraordinary driving force for BOTTEGAFUORISERIE. Wins in the last two years – including in the GT2 European Series championship where Maserati won the title in the AM Class – serve as concrete evidence that performance forms part of everything we do.
