Seeing Is Believing

Maserati has partnered with Sydney Opera House for the third year in a row, inspiring young women to dream big – and realise those dreams – as part of this year’s All About Women Festival.

Maserati, in collaboration with Sydney Opera House created an exclusive content this year aimed at inspiring young women to dream big – and realise those dreams – as part of this year’s All About Women Festival

‘Seeing is Believing’ follows three girls as they speak wistfully of what they want to be when they grow up – then come face-to-face with female role models who have done what they think impossible – celebrated author Jacqueline Harvey, helicopter doctor Clare Richmond and marine biologist Sam Hillman.

Sydney Opera House Head of Talks & Ideas Ann Mossop said: “So often in our daily lives we rely on stories, or the examples of others to understand what is possible. What this video shows very clearly is how difficult that can still be for girls. The revelation of these female role models and the very genuine and personal impact that this can have is what makes this video so powerful.”

Sydney Opera House CEO Louise Herron AM said:Seeing Is Believing is a wonderfully moving piece that we hope will engage and inspire young women everywhere. “It is exciting to work with partners who share our vision of inspiring future generations. The Opera House is the symbol of that aspiration for a better and more creative community.

Bilgen Tug, National Marketing Manager, Maserati Australia and New Zealand said: “We all have this idea about what we want to be when we grow up, which is only defined by passion and imagination at a younger age. As we grow up, role models around us affect our decision great deal. Lack of seeing female role models in what we want to be, often result in younger women changing their goals and ideals. We are excited and proud to collaborate with Sydney Opera House to create this content so moving and powerful that we hope will inspire and evoke thought and action from both younger and older generations.”

Maserati Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, Chief Operating Officer Glen Sealey said:  “Maserati is delighted to renew our partnership with the Sydney Opera House in 2017. The continued collaboration is a celebration of excellence, performance and innovation. With more than 100 years of heritage on which to call, these values are at the heart of the Maserati brand. “Throughout its unique history Maserati has provided inspiration to countless people, not least Maria Teresa de Filippis, who, behind the wheel of Maserati, was the first woman to race in Formula One, and we hope that as Event Partner for the All About Women Festival, Maserati’s inspiration and Maria Theresa’s irresistible spirit to win will motivate a new generation of young Australians to follow their passion.”

All About Women – the annual Opera House festival exploring ideas and issues that matter to women today – returns on Sunday 5 March 2017 ahead of International Women’s Day on 8 March.

Maserati is the Event Partner of All About Women Festival.
