Sir William Sargent

The 60-year-old Irishman co-founded special effects firm Framestore in 1986. Nowadays, the Soho company straddles the commercial and artistic spheres, helping the film Gravity win the Oscar for best visual effects in 2013. Last year a Chinese investor bought a 75% stake in a deal that valued Framestore at £150m.
