Chris Sheldrick

Sheldrick, 37, is the brains behind what3words, which divides the world into a grid of 3m x 3m squares and gives each one a unique three-word address, such as sound/manual/lungs. The six-year-old London start-up now operates in 26 languages and more than 170 countries, and has become the standard addressing system in the Ivory Coast and Mongolia.
