The mechanics of excellence

Precision craftsmanship, luxurious detailing and elegant styling are all common traits shared by Maserati and Bulgari.

That much was evident when the two iconic Italian brands first partnered to produce the original Maserati Octo watches five years ago.

Now, for 2017, Bulgari has again produced a pair of stunning Maserati editions of its Octo watch named to reflect Maserati’s new GranLusso and GranSport trim levels that are found across its Quattroporte, Levante and Ghibli range.

Like the cars it references, the Octo Maserati GranLusso edition features a luxurious aesthetic with its elegant styling highlighted in 18kt pink gold and complemented by a brown-stitched leather strap.

Providing a more sporting flavour, the GranSport edition features a black steel case treated with DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) a black dial, silvered hands and a blue-stitched perforated leather strap.

On the face, both editions feature a distinctive dial design inspired by a Maserati tachometer with a single hand moving through a graduated sixty minute scale, and jumping hour display. Driving this is a mechanical Retro BVL 262 calibre movement designed and manufactured in-house by Bulgari held within a 41mm case.

Referencing the high level of creative craftsmanship that the two Italian brands share, both editions of the Maserati Octo watch also feature a subtle trident symbol on the face and a transparent caseback to showcase the intricate workings of the watch.

The two new Octo Maserati watches are available at Bulgari boutiques throughout Australia.
