Every course is run by highly qualified, professional instructors chosen for their skills and experience in world-class competitive performance driving. They also share a passion for making sure everyone who joins us has fun in complete safety.
Our instructors have worked exclusively at Master Maserati for many years, combining training at Varano with their own international motor sport careers. The team comprises around 50 drivers/instructors with experience in elite racing categories such as Formula 1, the World Endurance Championship and the World Rally Championship. They are led by the former Formula 1 and Sport-Prototype champion, Andrea de Adamich.
ANDREA DE ADAMICH
Andrea, 76, is a highly respected figure in motor sport. After making a name for himself by winning the 1965 Italian Formula 3 Championship, he went on to compete in 34 Formula 1 grand prix and enjoy further success in sports cars and sedans. He has raced for Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, McLaren, March, Brabham and Surtees.
Nationality: Italian (born Sassuolo)
Date of birth: 1 December 1973
Andrea is the official test driver for the Maserati factory and played a crucial role in developing the MC12 before it went into production in 2004. In the MC12 Versione Corse, he became FIA GT champion in the GT1 class three times. He also won the 2010 FIA GT1 World Championship (in the MC12), the 2011 International Superstars Series, the 2015 WEC championship and, in the same year, the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
MC12 Versione Corse is based on the rear-drive, mid-engined production car but, unlike the GT1, there are no restrictions on power and aerodynamics – so it’s the most exciting MC12 ever made.
