Buran Concept Car

Italdesign

Giugiaro was the most prolific creator of Maserati concept cars, and after the success of the production 3200 GT, he introduced a most original project for a two-volume, high roof group top-of-the-range car at the 2000 Geneva Motor Show.

He rather liked the idea of a high car with seats raised in relation to the vehicle’s bottom and had made it his hobby horse since the appearance of the Alfa Romeo Taxi and Lancia Megagamma.
In this case, the association with Maserati produced a concept of a single-volume sports car that hardly seemed suitable, so the Buran -which is a cold wind that flows over the Asian steppes- faded from memory.
