2+2 Coupé Concept Car

Italdesign

This four seat coupé concept car exhibited by Italdesign at the 1974 Turin Motor Show was an application of future trends, as in earlier years, for a car that was substantially realistic.

A body of plain surfaces, alleviated by a sharp front, was united with a pyramid-shaped cockpit that receded considerably so that it comprised a marked dihedral on the waistline.
Accomplished work at the centre of the lines and the curvature of the surfaces avoided the overall design seeming too rigid and geometric. Seen again today, years later, the Maserati 2+2 Coupé Concept is a testimony to a past fashion in the car designs of that years.
