Richard Reed, Adam Balon and Jon Wright

In 1998, three Cambridge graduates came up with an idea that would disrupt the soft drinks industry. Such was the success of Innocent smoothies that Coca-Cola valued the business at £320m four years ago when it took control from Reed, 44, Balon, 45, and Wright, 44.
