The founders have built a cult following for their Persian-style Irani cafes serving Indian food. Shamil, 47 — formerly a strategy consultant at Bain & Co — joined forces with his cousin Kavi, 37, to open their first restaurant in Covent Garden nine years ago. The pair, who are both scions of the Tilda rice family, now have five sites in London, one in Edinburgh and one in Manchester.
