TRACK RECORD

TRACK RECORD

/
Compete to win. Our story is made up of epic victories, records broken and fearless drivers. Like Gigi Villoresi who, in 1940, gave Maserati its fourth consecutive win at Targa Florio at the wheel of the Tipo 4CL. Or the 8CTF’s conquest of Indianapolis, up to the FIA GT victories with the extraordinary MC12. But there’s one car and man that probably left the most indelible mark: the 250F and Juan Manuel Fangio.

THE 250F

THE 250F

/
With its long nose and squat tail, the 250F has been described as one of the most beautiful single seaters ever built. Ready by the end of 1953, it debuted with a win at the Argentine Grand Prix in 1954: at its wheel was Juan Manuel Fangio.

GLORY DAYS

GLORY DAYS

There’s a moment in time where impossible becomes possible. On the halfway of the German Grand Prix at Nürburgring, Fangio experienced a disastrous pit stop and lost 48 seconds. What happened next is a unique chapter in racing history: the Argentinian ace audaciously drove his 250F to victory through nine record laps in succession. Thanks to this heroic drive, Fangio and the 250F claimed not only the 1957 F1 title but also a legendary place in the heart of motorsports lovers.
