Course: Table Bay, Cape Town (South Africa) - Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), distance 3600 nautical miles. The current record was set by Giovanni Soldini aboard VOR70 Maserati in 2014: 10 days, 11 hours, 29 minutes and 57 seconds. The race was run for the first time in 1971.
