Celebrating 111 Years of Maserati
111 years in motion
On December 1, 2025, Maserati will celebrate its 111th anniversary. The story began on December 1, 1914, when Alfieri Maserati founded the workshop “Società Anonima Officine Alfieri Maserati” in Bologna, Italy. At that time, during the height of the Futurist movement, the Maserati brothers were captivated by the potential of mechanical engineering and speed, pouring their passion into motorsport.
Their achievements were soon proven with victories in pre-war European Grands Prix, as well as Juan Manuel Fangio’s F1 World Championship title in 1957. Maserati also triumphed twice at the Indianapolis 500 in the United States, firmly establishing itself as a world-class racing brand in both name and reality.
The DNA forged on the track has been carried over into Maserati’s road cars, living on today in iconic models such as the GranTurismo, the super sports car MCPURA, and the high-performance GT2 Stradale.
