The monthly magazine, Autocapital, dedicates a piece to the new Maserati Quattroporte S

In the August 2008 issue of Autocapital, the new Maserati Quattroporte S is described as a “limousine granturismo”. The term captures the luxury and sportiness that combine in the new version of Maserati’s prodigious flagship.

The article, entitled ‘Italian Art’, provides a detailed list of all the car’s new features compared to the version presented in 2003. “What new features does the new S version have? The mechanics have been updated while the bodywork has received only slight modifications. These changes are small but apparent; they are enough to give the car the modern styling that it needed”.

The dynamic qualities of the Quattroporte S are then outlined. The car “gives the driver a sense of security in any conditions thanks to cutting edge technology that oversees the traction and stability”. This means that power is always optimally delivered to the wheels.

The braking system is a feature that deserves a special mention; with its Dual Cast technology it is more powerful. Also highlighted is the car’s excellent weight distribution with 49% at the front and 51% at the rear, deriving from the engine’s position behind the front axle and not from the transaxle system. The plush interior, “exclusive and boasting Poltrona Frau leather”, rounds off a positive review.
