In its August 2008 issue, Top Gear Italia outlined the best of the changes made to the new Maserati Quattroporte

Just a few touches were needed to improve an already excellent product like the Maserati Quattroporte, defined by Top Gear Italia as “a classy lady that allows herself to be led by the boisterous cavalier that is the V8 engine”.

“The bodywork shows no signs of age since it first appeared five years ago. The oval grille is now a few centimetres wider and features vertical slats. The bumpers have been revised and the light clusters now boast LED technology”, states the August 2008 article.

The new Quattroporte stands out even more from the competition made up of the “cold and perfect Germans and the noble English” as it takes on an ever sportier character while keeping its stylish looks. This describes perfectly “the Italian car that looks like a granturismo with two extra doors”.
