The prestigious Corriere della Sera insert, on 8 December 2008, dedicated two whole pages to the Maserati test drive.

The lucky journalists enjoyed taking the Modenese marvels through landscapes famous for their links with ‘Don Camillo’ creator, Giovanni Guareschi and composer, Giuseppe Verdi. A huge photo accompanies the articles and further snapshots tell the storyboard of the journey.

The Quattroporte is described as being “agile” and “multi-faced”. The piece continues: “The mechanics provide stirring feedback with a sound that evokes historic traditions and performance that matches up to that of a GranTurimso. The article continues by emphasising the dynamic qualities of the Maserati: “The Parma plain in autumn is all fog and rain… the Quattroporte is not at all fazed. Its generous Pirelli tyres grip the slippery road surface; the electronic traction and stability control look after the rest. The handling is true; there are no jerks and no indecision”
