It was all about polo and smart cars on a shared stand at Pitti Immagine Uomo’81. The link-up came thanks to a partnership between La Martina, world leaders in the production of polo equipment, and Maserati, sponsors of the Italian national team. The Italian team are current European champions and came third at the World Cup in Argentina.

At Stand 7 in the Padiglione della Ghiaia, La Martina and Maserati presented initiatives that are part of a two-year agreement that will see them appear at the world’s major polo events. The creation of the polo player set, identical to the one La Martina produced for the national team, is sponsored by Maserati.

The polo set is designed to be used both during and after matches. It is the perfect partner for players during a championship season, from training sessions through to matchday and social occasions.

The set includes on official national team sweater, a short-sleeved piquet top, a long-sleeved, heavyweight jersey, baseball cap, nylon windcheater and a lined jacket all in navy blue and white.

The kit comes in a smart holdall and was presented to the winning Italian players together with an elegant laptop wallet. Last year La Martina and Maserati celebrated together 150 years of Italian unity; their strategic partnership is due to Maserati opting for La Martina to break into the international polo scene. Sporting fairplay, power, refinement and class are the values that unite the two Italian brands.
