Elegance, attention to detail, minimalism and the highest technical standards are only some of the features courtesy of which the Milani for Maserati’s ‘Veloce’ scooped the T3 prize.
The frame is constructed from 3K carbon fibre; the fibres themselves are specially positioned to strengthen the entire frame. The layering assembly method used renders the frame extremely tough while also making it light and easy to handle.
“The Veloce is the synthesis of Milani Cycles Factory’s carbon fibre testing and on-the-road experiments and the craftsmanship and quality build that characterises all our bikes”, commented Celeste Milani, owner and chief executive of the Gallarate based company.
Milani Cycles Factory is a well known producer of high-tech, high quality handmade frames for racing and leisure bicycles. It was founded in Gallarate (Varese) in 1927 by Natale Milani and was relaunched, in 2007, by Celeste Milani, Natale’s son and the company’s current president. Milani Cycles Factory produces frames that are entirely developed and built in Italy with extreme care and precision. The company keeps pace with new technological advancements in the types of materials used for the frames: steel, aluminium and carbon fibre. Staying true to tradition, Milani has maintained a limited production run owing to the company’s elevated technical standards and its fanatical attention to detail. The range of original models includes road, cyclo-cross, track and triathlon bikes as well as three vintage examples.
Milani Cycles Factory has a presence on the biggest European and world markets, France, Germany, Belgium, England, Scandinavia, the United States, Australia and New Zealand being the most significant.
Japan, China and Russia are new challenges for the Gallarate company which, in 2010, intends to extend its presence in overseas markets (that today make up 90% of sales). It also aims to consolidate its sales network in Italy and Europe.
