Astronomical auction figures reached for the Maserati Quattroporte
A Maserati Quattroporte Executive GT has been sold for the incredible sum of $2.5 million at a charity event in Qatar.

The auction was organised in early November in support of Rota (Reach Out To Asia). The group aims to help school age children in the Middle East and Asia. The car was sold twice during the course of the evening.

The first buyer secured a prestigious Bordeaux Pontevecchio coloured model for $1.8 million. The vehicle featured an ivory interior and was personalised in a 'Thousand and one nights' theme with a wood and silver instrument panel. The buyer promptly donated the car back to Rota which, in the following sale, achieved a price of $800.000 to make a total of $2.5 million dollars.
