Jay Kay sings Quattroporte's praises
Jamiroquai front-man Jay Kay waxes lyrical about the Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT which he had 'on approval for a month'.

It's been a busy year for Jamiroquai's lead singer: a summer packed with live concerts, a new single, 'Runaway', released in the Autumn and a greatest hits album, 'High Times: Singles 1992-2006', which recently reached the top spot of the Official UK Album Chart. And if this was not enough, his own clothing range - JK for Hugo, by Hugo Boss - will hit the stores in the next few weeks. Despite all this, Jay still managed to squeeze in some time to dedicate to the other great passion in his life: cars.

We caught up with him upon his return from a well deserved break in his Scottish hideway, fresh from having driven the Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT.

"I don't know what it is", he says, as he drops a gear and smiles at the exhaust note of the Maserati V8, "but there is something about new Italian sports cars that really gets me going. Sitting in one of these, you look around and say well life ain't that bad, really!. Driving one does cheer you up. They are not everything, but they do make the bad days better".

"This Maserati is exquisite", he continues, "it's a gentleman's express, with a real thoroughbred under the bonnet waiting to get out. The Quattroporte is a superstylish executive car, nicer and more exclusive than the Bentley Continental GT or an Aston Martin. If you are a businessman and you want something with style and pedigree you could do a lot worse".
