The Maserati Quattroporte has repeated last year's success in the Luxury Imported Sedan Category in motor magazine Auto Zeitung's annual "Auto Trophy" readers' poll. With an impressive 34.5% of the votes cast, it came in comfortably ahead of its rival the Bentley Continental Flying Spur (19.2%) to win the coveted trophy.
The Maserati Quattroporte idea was first presented at the Turin Motor Show in 1963. Even today, forty years later, the Quattroporte uniquely combines the classic values of the Maserati brand: top-quality technical features and convincing performance combined with elegant design and a high-quality, comfortable interior. A vehicle with two souls: those of a prestige sedan and a dynamic gran turismo.
Maserati presented two new versions of the Quattroporte for the first time at the Frankfurt International Auto Exhibition 2005: the Executive GT and Sport GT. The new versions express both souls in a fascinating manner. The Quattroporte Executive GT is highly exclusive, while the Sport GT offers maximum sportiness.
Following the excellent result of the Auto Zeitung readers' poll, in which more than 90,000 readers took part, the Maserati Quattroporte has another important prize to add to its already long list of international awards. The award ceremony took place on 22 November 2005 in Berlin.
