The magnificent racing yacht finished in a gallant 2nd place in the PHS Division. Skippered by Ian "Bugsy" Potter, the Maserati handled the tricky conditions well, and was beaten by Sydney-to-Hobart hopeful, Sean Langman's AAPT. In third position was former CYCA (Cruising Yacht Club of Australia) Commodore, David Fuller, aboard his harbour racer, Bashful.

The Canon Big Boat Challenge is one of the most prestigious events on the CYCA's racing calendar. It is one of Sydney's most spectacular sporting and harbour fixtures and marks the beginning of the countdown to the 60th anniversary Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, which will take place on Boxing Day (26 December).
