Exterior

Quattroporte Diesel

Elegant and dynamic, unconventionally sporty

Passion is never commonplace and in spite of its engine type, the Quattroporte Diesel’s personality is still unmistakable sporty. This is obvious at first glance, with the massive bonnet leading back from the traditional Maserati oval radiator grille with vertical fillets, inspired by the GranTurismo and other key cars in the marque’s history, dominated by the large chromed Trident badge.

Sinuous, modern front lights

Either side of the radiator grille, the tall headlights almost merge into the line of the sides, which starts from the familiar three air vents behind the front mudguards and runs on in a sequence of muscular curves. The front’s aggressive air is underlined by the line of the LED daylights, a stylistic and functional feature that gives the car an extremely modern character.

Distinctive details

A number of stylistic details enhance the elegant turnout of the Quattroporte Diesel, distinguishing it from the GTS version at first glance: viewed from behind, the aggressive twin oval steel tailpipes maintain a sporty touch combined with a unique silhouette. The wraparound rear lights integrate perfectly with the design of the rear bumpers and boot, and are joined together by a chrome-plated central trim.

The integral real spoiler highlights a unique silhouette

The marque’s typical triangular C-pillar features the oval “Saetta” logo, a detail drawn from the Maserati tradition and featured on Quattroporte cars since the first generation, while the boot has an integral spoiler designed to generate downforce at high speeds. The spokes of the 19” Tritone wheels - supplied as standard - resemble the prongs of the Trident badge: a unique combination of strength and elegance.

Interior

Quattroporte Diesel

Luxury is expressed through simple, elegant design, as in an exclusive lounge

The interior of the Quattroporte Diesel is designed like an exclusive lounge: the intuitive on-board controls offer themselves to the occupants with discretion, taking care not to detract from the real protagonists: the surfaces and materials. The dashboard, divided horizontally into three levels, features a broad central band across the entire width of the car, with the large Maserati Touch Control touchscreen display in the middle.

A lounge shaped by style and fine traditional craftsmanship

The Poltrona Frau® leather, the fine wood and the stitching, styled in keeping with the purest hand-crafted tradition, seamlessly continue the sleek lines of the dashboard, the central tunnel and the doors, enveloping the passengers in an atmosphere of luxury. The standard version offers finishes in Burr Walnut, an exquisite open-pore wood with knots and vein patterning for an added air of exclusiveness and sophistication.

Elegant, ergonomic seats

The ergonomic, wraparound seats feature fine stitching on the vertical grooves in the middle of the seat and back. The front seats feature electric back and seat height, depth and angle adjustment; lumbar support adjustment is also provided, with adjustable pedals available for a perfect driving position.

An innovative Diesel V6 challenges the conventions, revealing a sporty soul

Under the bonnet of the Quattroporte Diesel throbs a 3 litre V6 Diesel engine that delivers the sporty temperament of petrol-fuelled units with the benefits typical of Diesel. A result achieved thanks to a state-of-the-art common rail fuel injection system and a turbocharging system that features a variable geometry unit that cuts inertia and turbo lag significantly.

The All-New Quattroporte is driven by the most innovative engine in Maserati’s history

Record-breaking efficiency

The many leading-edge solutions used on the Quattroporte Diesel’s six-cylinder engine are reflected in a maximum power of 275 HP* (202 kW) and a peak torque of 600 Nm, available between 2,000 and 2,600 rpm. This unit’s outstanding efficiency is also demonstrated beyond doubt by the category-leading consumption and emissions data: 6.2 l/100 km and 163 g/km of CO2 in the mixed cycle.

Power always available

The Quattroporte Diesel’s engine still delivers thrilling sporty performance, with a thrust and elasticity of response noticeable at the slightest touch of the right foot: the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds, while its top speed is 250 km/h. In Italy, the Quattroporte Diesel is also available in the 250 HP (184 kW) version, which accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds with a top speed of 240 km/h

Craftsmanship

Quattroporte Diesel

A personalization programme pushes back the frontiers of exclusiveness

A masterpiece of Italian style, where the last touch of class is added by the client: the colours and materials that make up the interior can be chosen with a tailor-made approach, to create a car that truly reflects its driver’s personality. The interior trims can be finished in five choice types of wood: Burr Walnut (supplied as standard), Erable, Tanganyika, Ebony or Light Oak.

Every shade of elegance

The dashboard, armrests and seats are finished in Poltrona Frau® leather: there are a total of 6 colours available, which can be combined to create both monocolour interiors and sophisticated two colour design schemes, with the generous choice of Nero (Black), Marrone (Dark Brown), Sabbia (Sand), and Cuoio (Tan), finishing with the elegant Blu (Blue) and Tortora (Dove Grey). There are two further original options offering even finer quality leather, which can also be combined with Alcantara® for the central section of the seats.

Where luxury and thrills combine

Those in search of an even more sporty look for their car’s interior can order the trims in carbon fibre, in a special gloss finish. Additional options include aluminium gear shift paddles, mounted behind the steering wheel and integrated in the steering column, and the sporty brushed steel pedals with special rubber inserts.
