Despite its size, the Quattroporte S Q4 boasts sleek and dynamic lines. The traditional Maserati grille, with its vertical slats, is a modern take on the GranTurismo’s front grille and that of other Maserati classics from the past. The eye is drawn over the imposing bonnet and new headlights. These are equipped with LED day-running lights, the aesthetic cue for the car’s overall elegance to come to the fore.

A classytrue flagship model that blends style and power

Despite its size, the Quattroporte S Q4 boasts sleek and dynamic lines. The traditional Maserati grille, with its vertical slats, is a modern take on the GranTurismo’s front grille and that of other Maserati classics from the past. The eye is drawn over the imposing bonnet and new headlights. These are equipped with LED day-running lights, the aesthetic cue for the car’s overall elegance to come to the fore.

Space and sportiness

From the three distinctive air vents set behind the front wheels, the car’s sinuous lines sweep along the flanks to provide more dynamism: the three large windows and frameless doors, together with the triangular C-pillar, are other echoes of Maserati styling. These features combine to give the car its coupé looks, despite its long wheelbase.

The new LED rear light cluster

The wraparound sidelights frame the LED rear light cluster and integrate perfectly with the design of the bumper while a chrome central trim mirrors the shape of the grille to provide more harmony. The boot-mounted spoiler generates a sporty feel not normally associated with a car of this class. As well as improving the overall looks, the spoiler provides more downforce.

Tritone rims symbolise the strength and class of the Trident

Some features make the Quattroporte S Q4 instantly recognisable: the twin oval tailpipes catch the eye while 19” Tritone rims - fitted as standard and echoing the Maserati badge – stand out with their strength and style.

Clean lines create unprecedented grace

Passengers in the Quattroporte S Q4 can relax in an interior finished in bespoke leathers, prestigious woods and fine contrast stitching that are all crafted using traditional techniques. The dashboard is arranged in three horizontal bands with the broad centre console, tunnel and other door elements finished in much-sought-after open pore Radica wood trim as standard.

For music connoisseurs seeking more power, more dynamism, and an extra dimension of emotional realism, the optional Harman Kardon Premium Sound System brings new levels of audio refinement to the Maserati Quattroporte. With ten high-powered speakers carefully positioned throughout the cabin, the system produces 360 degrees of sublime sound reproduction despite the listeners` seating position. A special high-performance subwoofer handles the low-end frequencies with ease, whilst the mid-range drivers and tweeters ensure that every instrument makes its presence felt on this virtual concert platform.

Pure and intuitive commands

The on-board commands are intuitive but do not invade the driver or passengers’ personal space. In the centre of the dashboard sits the 8.4” touchscreen for the Maserati Touch Control system. This portal allows the car’s many on-board features to be managed while the vehicle’s dynamic handling can be controlled by the buttons grouped on the central tunnel, to the side of the gear lever.

The spacious rear seat accommodates three passengers

The Quattroporte S Q4 is an exciting car to drive but is also enjoyable for passengers. During development, a lot of a time and attention was paid to passengers seated in the rear, resulting in the car’s rear leg space being among the best in its class. The comfortable three seats can be substituted with two individual seats divided by a central console from which occupants can control a number of features to make every journey a memorable one.

Comfortable, body-hugging seats

The front leather seats are comfortable to sit in and ergonomic. They provide occupants with elevated comfort levels while also containing roll during sportier drives. The centre section of the seat and back panel is enhanced by vertical contrast stitching that continues the interior’s linear elegance.

A lightweight, versatile and sporty engine

Innovative, lightweight and versatile, the 3-litre Twin Turbo V6 that powers the Quattroporte S Q4 develops 302 kW (410 CV) at 5500 rpm. In Sport mode, peak torque of 550 Nm, is reached at just 1750 rpm. The amazing torque figure of 183 Nm per litre ensures that power is delivered smoothly and decisively and produces a car that is fun to drive and that reacts to every movement of the accelerator.

    Cutting-edge solutions mean superb performance

The V6 remains true to the tradition of sporty Maserati engines and shares most mechanical parts with the V8 unit fitted to the Quattroporte GTS. The bore values of the two engines are identical, as is the valve control technology and the direct injection system. These refined solutions push the car from 0-100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds and result in a top speed of 283 km/h.

    Four-wheel drive with sports handling

Compact, light and efficient: these are the characteristics of the sophisticated Q4 four-wheel drive system. Ensuring driving sensations typical of a rear-wheel vehicle, even in low-grip conditions, the set up is intelligently managed and continually varies the torque between all four wheels by analysing a series of parameters related to the driving style and road conditions.

    Safe whatever the conditions

In normal conditions, the Q4 system routes 100% of the drive to the rear wheels but, when grip levels drop, or when there is no rear-end grip, the required power is transferred instantly to the front wheels and continues to be delivered until the drive is balanced between the axles. The set up produces extremely sporty handling and peerless traction along with elevated safety levels.

    New auto-adaptive transmission

The V6’s torque is overseen by an all-new, 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. Assisted by auto-adaptive software able to recognise a driver’s style behind the wheel and the road conditions, the system modifies the type of gear change. The new transmission is lighter and more efficient than its predecessor and boasts five working modes: Auto Normal, Auto Sport, Manual Normal, Manual Sport and I.C.E. (Increased Control & Efficiency).

    Pure driving pleasure

Size and agility turn out to be compatible: despite having the longest wheelbase in its class, necessary for unmatched on-board comfort, the Quattroporte S Q4 does not compromise on typically Granturismo handling. Driving the car is like being in a much smaller vehicle, a sensation made possible by the optimal weight distribution and sophisticated suspension.

Every detail can be personalised to stand out from the crowd

The Quattroporte S Q4 can be personalised extensively to allow clients the chance to create their own unique car. The incredible array of internal finishes can be combined with a range of eight body colours and four wheel rim designs. The brake callipers come in black, red, blue and silver.

    Sporty carbon fibre

For drivers looking for an even more dynamic look, the dashboard’s wide middle band, the central tunnel and the door inserts are available in glossy carbon fibre, on request. The sporty look can be completed with aluminium gearshift paddles, set on the steering column behind the wheel, and by a brushed steel and rubber finish to the pedals.

    Prestigious wood finishes

One of the interior’s distinctive features is the central band of the dashboard, one that extends the entire width of the cabin, cocooning passengers in an exclusive atmosphere. Refined Radica wood trim has been fitted as standard but this can be substituted with Erable, a maple wood featuring an intricate texture and glossy finish, Tanganyika or Ebano. A polished carbon-fibre look is also available for those preferring a sportier track look.

Those in search of concert-hall acoustics on the Quatrroporte have only to order the optional new-generation Premium Surround system, created in association with high-end sound specialists Bowers & Wilkins. The system, with a 16-channel 1,280 Watt amplifier and 15 speakers, blends perfectly into the design of the interior and guarantees unparalleled sound with unbeatable dynamic purity.

    Quality you can feel

Sumptuous Alcantara®leather in the centreal seat sections are an additional option for those seeking even greater luxury. There is also a selection of five colours for the steering wheel to perfect your personalisation.

It can be argued that nature is the ultimate artisan…so it’s no surprise that our idea of luxury includes some of nature’s finest works. Maserati and the world-renown fashion house, Ermenegildo Zegna, understand this, and have teamed up to produce some of the automotive world’s most sumptuous and serene environments ever.

Discerning drivers and passengers will feel fully indulged surrounded by the interior’s luxury leathers. Further comfort and style can be seen in the natural fibre Zegna Mulberry Silk inserts that are embellished with a hand-stitched micro-chevron and are found on the seats, door panels, roof lining, sunshades and the ceiling light fixture. Seating features a central silk insert with a macro-chevron weave. Door panels, roof lining and sunshades are further covered with Zegna silk jersey, completing the artistic ambience.
