Sleek lines with an unmistakable blend of elegance and sportscar verve

The Ghibli S Q4’s exterior is moulded to offer a unique marriage of elegance and sportscar verve, drawing on the best Maserati design tradition: the starting point for its very sleek silhouette is the distinctive nose, dominated in the centre by the radiator grille with concave vertical fillets. This is in clear homage to the GranTurismo and the historic A6 GCS Berlinetta, a famous icon from the past.

Traditional Maserati style reinterpreted with contemporary details

Carrying on along the side, with the two stylish lines that converge before giving way to the sculpted forms of the rear mudguards, it is easy to pick out more references to the Maserati tradition, including the three large air vents behind the front wheels, with their new, more modern look, and the iconic oval Maserati “Saetta” logo on the triangular C-pillar.

Unusual luminous surrounds define a dynamic, aggressive nose

The aggressive front headlights create unusual luminous surrounds thanks to the LED Daytime Running function and seem to converge on the large chromed Trident logo suspended in the middle of the radiator grille, giving the front of the car an even more dynamic look. Incorporated in the headlight units, the LED indicator lights replicate the distinctive motif of the three Maserati signature side air-vents.

The tapered lines of the rear give the car a coupé-like look

To the rear, the tapered design of the boot is the natural continuation of the cabin, while the two LED lights provide continuity with the mudguards. A look with a strong emphasis on speed and aggression, underlined by the twin exhaust tailpipes and the 18” diamond alloy wheels (standard) with a new 12-spoke design.

Wraparound racing-style seats in a carefully crafted, luxury interior

The Ghibli S Q4 accommodates its passengers in a luxurious, comfortable interior: without detracting from the loveliness of the car’s lines, the long wheelbase provides occupants with one of the roomiest interiors in the sports sedan category. The seats, upholstered in soft leather, have wraparound forms and underline the interior’s sporty feel while guaranteeing top-class comfort.

The interiors have leather upholstery with three customisation levels

The interior upholstery offers three levels of customisation: the leather used on the front and rear seats as standard can also be used on the side areas above the dashboard, the instrument panel brow and the door armrests to create an original two-tone combination: Nero/Cuoio.

The Maserati Touch Control dominates the dashboard

The middle of the dashboard is dominated by the traditional Maserati clock with blue face and aluminium details and the large 8.4” display of the Maserati Touch Control, the access portal for the entertainment technologies and control centre for most of the on-board devices. The car’s driver-oriented settings are controlled by a cluster of push-buttons on the central tunnel, beside the gear lever.

Adjustable pedals

The all-electric front seat adjustment system makes it easy to achieve the perfect driving position in terms of height, depth and the angle of the back and seat, and also includes four different lumbar support settings and the new pedal height adjustment system, operated by a control in the front of the driving seat.*

* for left-hand drive cars only

When sat in the driving seat of the Ghibli, you’ll immediately feel in total control: the ergonomic three-spoke leather-clad steering-wheel, with controls for interacting with the main multimedia functions, frames a simple but striking instrument panel. The large speedometer and rpm-counter have elegant white backlighting and are separated by a 7” TFT display that shows the car’s dynamic data.

A fuel-efficient, state-of-the-art engine for a powerful driving experience

The Ghibli S Q4 is powered by the same engine as the rear-wheel drive Ghibli S: an efficient 3 litre Twin Turbo V6 that delivers a peak of 410 horsepower (302 kW) at 5,500 rpm and is credited with a maximum torque, in Sport mode, of 550 Nm at just 1,750 rpm. The amazing specific torque value of 183 Nm per litre ensures an aggressive response that will deliver pure excitement with every movement of the right foot.

An extremely efficient engine, for daily driving pleasure

A wealth of innovative solutions make the Ghibli S Q4’s V6 an extremely fuel-efficient engine: the use of two parallel-mounted low-inertia turbines helps to prevent turbo lag, giving swifter response to every touch on the accelerator and elasticity in all driving conditions. A forthright character, reinforced by the use of double continuous cam phasers on both cylinder heads.

The Q4 intelligent AWD combines safety with maximum driving pleasure

The Ghibli S Q4 is equipped with an innovative “on demand” all-wheel drive system capable of combining the utmost driving pleasure with absolute safety on all road surfaces. Normally, it is up to the rear-wheel drive system to transfer the power of the V6 to the terrain, but if the road surface turns slippery or the wheels lose grip, the system instantaneously (in just 150 milliseconds) transfers the necessary drive force to the front wheels.

The lightweight, powerful Brembo brakes have dual-cast discs

The Ghibli S Q4’s’s powerful Brembo brakes have dual-cast discs, which combine the properties of cast iron with the light weight of aluminium, helping to reduce the unsprung mass. Braking power is provided by efficient monobloc calipers, with 6 pistons at the front and 4 at the rear, acting on ventilated, slotted discs of 360 mm x 32 mm and 350 mm x 28 mm respectively.

GT handling thanks to sophisticated suspensions and auto-adaptive transmission

In terms of handling, the adoption of front double wishbone and rear five-arm multilink suspension combines comfort with sporty handling, while the new eight speed ZF automatic transmission is controlled by auto-adaptive software able to switch from the smooth gear shifts of Auto Normal mode to the Manual Sport mode, which gives the driver full control over all gear changes.

Torque is distributed by a compact, lightweight, quiet system

On the Ghibli S Q4, drive torque distribution is electronically controlled by a special algorithm that processes a large number of the car’s dynamic parameters. In mechanical terms the system transfers the drive torque to the front wheels by means of electronically controlled wet multiple plate clutches: a compact, lightweight and quiet solution.

Personalization programmes reaching down to the tiniest details

Like your personality, the Ghibli S Q4 is unique: an exclusive personalization programme allows a vast assortment of fresh combinations. The leather upholstery of the interior is available in six colours: Nero, Cuoio, Sabbia, Marrone, Rosso Trofeo and Blu Corse, with exquisite contrasting stitching on request, while the roof liner can be finished with Alcantara® in Nero, Sabbia or Grigio.

For music connoisseurs seeking more power, more dynamism, and an extra dimension of emotional realism, the optional Harman Kardon Premium Sound System brings new levels of audio refinement to the Maserati Ghibli. With ten high-powered speakers carefully positioned throughout the cabin, the system produces 360 degrees of sublime sound reproduction despite the listeners` seating position. A special high-performance subwoofer handles the low-end frequencies with ease, whilst the mid-range drivers and tweeters ensure that every instrument makes its presence felt on this virtual concert platform.

Concert-hall acoustics thanks to the Bowers & Wilkins Premium sound system

Those in search of concert-hall acoustics on the Ghibli have only to order the optional new-generation Premium Surround system, created in association with high-end sound specialists Bowers & Wilkins. The system, with a 16-channel 1,280 Watt amplifier and 15 speakers, blends perfectly into the design of the interior and guarantees unparalleled sound with unbeatable dynamic purity.

Leather is used on the front and rear seats as standard, but can also be used on the side areas above the dashboard, the instrument panel brow and the doors to create an original two-tone combination.

Option of carbon fibre instead of the fine wood

Exclusive inserts in Burr walnut, an exquisite, extremely tactile open-pore wood with a wealth of knots and vein patterning, feature as standard on the central tunnel and door panel trims. Two further options are Ebony or, for those in search of a more dynamic interior carbon fibre, in a special gloss finish.

Driving is even more thrilling with the gear shift paddles and sports pedals

The brushed aluminium Active Shift gear shift paddles, mounted behind the steering wheel and integrated in the steering column, are the ideal option for those in search of a more sporty look and deliver complete control of gear shifts regardless of road conditions. The sporty brushed steel pedals and footrest with special rubber inserts ensure unrivalled grip and sport the oval Maserati logo.

It can be argued that nature is the ultimate artisan…so it’s no surprise that our idea of luxury includes some of nature’s finest works. Maserati and the world-renown fashion house, Ermenegildo Zegna, understand this, and have teamed up to produce some of the automotive world’s most sumptuous and serene environments ever.

Discerning drivers and passengers will feel fully indulged surrounded by the interior’s luxury leathers. Further comfort and style can be seen in the natural fibre Zegna Mulberry Silk inserts that are embellished with a hand-stitched micro-chevron and are found on the seats, door panels, roof lining, sunshades and the ceiling light fixture. Seating features a central silk insert with a macro-chevron weave. Door panels, roof lining and sunshades are further covered with Zegna silk jersey, completing the artistic ambience.
