The Maserati Quattroporte Evo got off to a solid start in the Superstars series. The international championship got underway on 9-10 April at Monza with the Maseratis fielded by Swiss Team, a private squad based in Switzerland. In the cockpit was Andrea Bertolini, Maserati’s official test driver and reigning world FIA GT1 champion, and Andrea Chiesa, who has raced in the Quattroporte since 2009.
The team took an opening meet podium thanks to Chiesa’s third place in race 2. This position came after Bertolini’s had clocked the second best time in qualifying. In race 1, Bertolini’s efforts were dashed after he suffered a puncture.
