Emanuele Smurra: "It was an unusual qualifying session. I had planned to make a pit stop on lap three to check the tyres but I found myself sandwiched between Pier Guidi and Bertolini and I tried to stay with them."

"However, I didn't have any luck in setting my fast lap. I feel that I could have got near their times and hope that things go well in qualifying. Still, I am already sure that I want to race at Mugello: I am always ready to compete".

Davide Durante:
"It's gone now. Unfortunately, I can't seem to settle in the car. I haven't found the right way to handle it. Things went well in Valencia but not here. I hope to pick up the pace in the race itself. Saying all this, I think we will make up for things at Mugello".

Matteo Grassi: "We only covered a few laps in yesterday's free practice because we had a problem with the brakes. Today we were at a disadvantage because we didn't have any reference points. We will see how things go in the race. We will stick with the pack until we settle into a rhythm. We aren't ready and are not sure how to improve the situation".

Olivier Doeblin: "Qualifying went a bit better than it did yesterday and I improved by a couple of seconds. I haven't raced since Monza and had to get back into the groove. In the last session I kept up a steady tempo. It was a little warmer and the tyres came up to temperature but I am pleased because I improved by almost five seconds on last year's tests here at Vallelunga. I don't think I can make the podium. I think I will have to keep an eye on the tyres because 50 minutes is a long time. Even so, I am hopeful".

Gaetano Ardagna: "This is my first outing at Vallelunga and so I am satisfied at how it went, especially in qualifying where I did much better than in yesterday's free practice. In Q1 I am second in my category and, in Q2, I am fourth with the same lap time. Talking of lap times, I am close to Villa and Baldi but Piancastelli is on another level; he is much quicker than us. I hope I can stick to him in the race to check out his racing line and work out why he is so quick".
