Maserati CEO Harald Jacob Wester has unveiled the new Trofeo Maserati GranTurismo MC today.
The Modena sports car manufacturer is once again organizing single-make championship for its gentlemen-driver clientele, featuring the GranTurismo MC Trofeo car, the racing version of the GranTurismo S 4.7, market leader under the luxury coupé category.
Just like the road model, the racing version is also produced on the same assembly line in Viale Ciro Menotti. The first cars were manufactured and tested on the track a few days ago.

Bertolini/Bartels champions, Pier Guidi/Bobbi win at Zolder

Third place today in the last round at Zolder, Belgium, gave them their second straight championship and third overall after topping the standings in 2006 and 2008. The pairing have become the first ever crew to win three crowns. It was also a famous day for Maserati as the Modenese company secured its twelfth title since 2005.
The race was won by the No.33 Maserati driven by Pier Guidi/Bobbi.
Maserati GranTurismo MC on the podium at Zolder

After its brilliant debut at Spa-Francorchamps, the Maserati GranTurismo MC has just confirmed its competitiveness on the Belgian circuit of Zolder, where round 9 and 10 of the GT4 European Cup championship were held this weekend.
Driving the car for the AF Corse team was Lorenzo Casé, who ended both races at third and fourth place, respectively.
After having earned third place in race 1 and fourth in race 2 in the qualifying practices, the sporty GranTurismo MC from Modena was called upon to confirm the potential already evident during its debut.
